Pocket caches and caches set out for an event (that are not officially published by GC and one would need to log the event more then once to get the numbers) are really not permitted as far as I understand. But one could put new caches out there and get them published, decide shortly after the event to archive them if they determine that the cache is no longer proper for the area.

TeamGeoduck is absolutely correct. I recommend just doin temporary, non-credit caches for new finders.
I can't view the listing right now. Is there an actual "start" and "end" time for the event?
Thanks!

(copied from the food thread)
Keep an eye on the cache page for updates. Donna, does my memory serve correctly that you offered to do the name tags and help with registation?
We've had the offer of 5 door prizes so far. I've already got the tickets for handing out.
WE HAVE AMMO BOXES. We picked up 6 50 calibre and 6 20 calibre ammo boxes and will have them at the event. The large ones are $5 and the small are $3. They also have some very, very large ones for $15 if anyone is interested. Buddy plans to mount it to his trailer to hold tools, bungy cords, etc. But I suppose you could use it as a cache container.
I have spots for two caches to be hidden. Placer decides the type and placement. The park has said the caches can be placed up to a week before the event on the 21st.
I'll keep everyone informed via this forum and the cache page.

I'll help out in any way needed. I could do name tags and registration if that helps.

Donna,
Please send me your email address so I can begin forwarding the emails I'm getting with attendees. I think you've already done it but I'm not at my computer today.

Bear Creek isn't that far away, just off I-10 toward Lake Talquin. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get there from anywhere in Tally at least not on a Saturday morning.
Here's hoping those who haven't responded can at least stop by and say hi - it won't cost you a cent, nickel, dollar - hmmm with gas prices like they are, how about we take up a collection?
MC and I are looking forward to Saturday.

We (sot1213 & lucylulu29) are planning being there. Just let us know what to bring, with everything that has been posted I don't know what is really needed now, so just let us know. But don't forget I'm a NEFGA member, I could be a spy

I picked up the Chilli and the fixins for the pasta salad tonight. I can't wait! I hope there is a huge turn out. One thing though, I've never been there so can someone email directions?

Put the coordinates in your GPS and let it take you there. OR just take I-10 west to 267 & turn left (south). You'll see it on your left.

One more thing K9 - thanks for bringing the chili for the chilidogs ... I'll take it off my list. Going to Sam's tonite. Any requests?
