Please see the official event page at: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=52d09c50-af5b-4008-82c4-cf6a8bf29a00 .
Miller Landing CITO Cache In Trash Out Event at Miller Landing in Tallahassee / Leon County, Florida (N30 32.361 W84 19.651) Saturday, February 17, 2007, 9:00 - 11:00AM
Please join other area Geocachers to clean up Miller Landing. Located on beautiful Lake Jackson, Miller Landing is a small park / boat landing managed by the Leon County Parks and Recreation Department.
We will begin promptly at 9:00AM when supplies will be distributed and a short safety briefing conducted. Bags, SOME trash grabbers, and rubber gloves will be provided. If you have heavy-duty work gloves and want to bring them for your own use, that would be advisable.
A special thanks to Keep Tallahassee - Leon County Beautiful for their donation of cleanup supplies. Another special thank you to the Leon County Parks and Recreation Department for additional cleanup supplies and placement of a dumpster to specifically support our event!
Once the main landing area is clean, or at the event end time of 11:00AM, anyone interested can join us as we hike the trail that goes North around the lake, continuing to clean up as we go. There is one cache in the Miller Landing area that we will visit on this hike. We also encourage anyone interested to take advantage of the other wonderful local caches upon conclusion of the event!

Great! You can bring heavy-duty work gloves if you have them and want to. We will have some regular (medical type) rubber gloves to hand out though.
I imagine that if you have any trash grabbers/tongs/pokers, that those will also be quite handy.
Thanks!

Are small children considered grabbers and pokers?

LOL, Qanine!
Just a reminder that we're a little over one (1) week away from this event. If you haven't already logged a "Will Attend" log on the event, please do.
For those of you not sure of the event protocol, here goes:
An event is treated just like a Geocache. In fact, after the event, you can log an "Attended" log on the event description page and it counts as a "Find".
BEFORE the event, you have the opportunity to log a "Will Attend" log. This gives the event organizer a rough idea of how many might be attending. Don't be shy about logging a "Will Attend". Nobody's going to shoot you if you log one and end up not being able to make it. Life happens. It's just better to plan for more than actually show up than to plan for only a few and have a lot more show up.
Hopefully that helps.
Thanks!
