How are you supposed to remember what the requirements are for posting a new entry, as well as visiting one that has already been posted? Is there a way to download the categories that you want to locate? I guess what I am wanting to know is if there is a paperless way to keep track of the waymark categories so that you always have something to refer back to for submission requirements (nothing in the picture, gpsr in the picture, me in the picture, etc, etc).

It's an issue they're working on actually, most are basic, get a picture of the site, and to be safe you can hold your gps out in front of the camera! If it's not required, edit it out if you like. There are a few categories where people get picky and demand more of you, I have a feeling that these super picky ones may disappear soon. We'll see.
To better answer your question, I direct you to this short topic on the waymarking forums that quite well discusses your options. Less than a 5 minute read.
